Chicago digital media company TRiiBE got an early win in its trademark lawsuit against an event promoter, with a federal judge rejecting the promoter’s argument that “tribe” is too generic for legal protections.
The ruling allows the case to proceed to discovery.
TRiiBE, Inc. sued event company One Tribe, LLC and its owner for trademark infringement in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
