OSI Industries LLC workers who say the company ran afoul of wage-and-hour laws failed to convince a federal judge in California that their suit should be sent back to state court.
Workers originally filed their complaint in state court and sought remand after the meat processor removed the case to the US District Court for the Central District of California. OSI provided enough evidence to show that the estimated amount in controversy exceeds the minimum necessary to keep the case in federal court, Judge Jesus G. Bernal said.
