McGraw Hill App User Data Disclosed to Third Parties, Suit Says

McGraw Hill, LLC, collected and shared personally identifiable information of the users of its Sharpen app with third parties without consent from consumers, a new proposed class action alleges.

The company discloses customer data—including email addresses, names, and certain user actions—with third parties to help with McGraw’s marketing campaigns, targeted advertising, and understanding user behavior, the suit, filed on Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, claims.
