The owner of a Philadelphia McDonald’s must pay a female worker $18,060 for sexual harassment by the store manager while he was interviewing her for a crew member position when she was 16 years old, a federal jury ruled.
Tamiah Marcellus sued Tanway Enterprises LP under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and the Philadelphia Fair Practices Ordinance in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The verdict was reached following a 5-day trial before Judge Eduardo C. Robreno, who entered judgment for Marcellus and against Tanway Monday.
