Maximus Hit With Data Breach Suit After Worker’s Misconduct (1)

Government contractor Maximus Inc. was sued in federal court for negligence after allegedly failing to secure data entrusted to it by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Texan Christopher Gonzales brought the proposed class action in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on behalf of the incident’s alleged victims. Thousands of Texans may have been affected by the data breach, according to the state’s attorney general’s data breach notification site.
