Massive NJ Warehouse Flooding Worries Face Skeptical Judges

New Jersey appellate judges seemed likely to approve a record-setting warehouse development’s permit after oral arguments Monday, even as environmental critics called the decision “a matter of life and death.”

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection and a developer pursuing a 650-acre warehouse argued against project critics, who want the judges to deny the project’s flood permit because they say the development will exacerbate floods and contaminate drinking water used by a million people.
