Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) on Wednesday nominated state Appeals Court Justice Amy Blake to serve as the court’s next top judge. Blake would be the intermediate appellate court’s first female chief justice.
Blake would replace Mark Green, who served as chief justice for seven years and spent almost 23 years on the Appeals Court bench before retiring.
- Blake was appointed to the Appeals Court in 2014, after serving as a judge on the Probate and Family Court. She was a previously partner at Casner & Edwards LLP and at White, Inker, Aronson PC.
