Mass General Brigham Inc., the Boston-area health care provider, must continue to face discrimination claims by 154 former employees who say they were wrongly denied religious or medical exemptions from its Covid-19 vaccination mandate and then fired.
The ruling Thursday by the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts drew a distinction between “high-level” decision-making by executives setting hospital policy during the height of the Covid pandemic and “low-level” decisions regarding which specific employees to grant religious or disability accommodations.
