The state of Maryland is asking a federal judge to block the Trump administration’s planned immigration detention facility in Williamsport, Md., about 75 miles from downtown Washington.
In a motion filed Tuesday, Maryland said a 14-day temporary restraining order blocking the conversion of a Williamsport warehouse into a detention facility is necessary because the plan likely violates the National Environmental Policy Act.
