A Texas truck driver for Martin Marietta Materials Inc. has settled her discrimination case with the building materials company after her counsel was hit with a sanctions order.

Twyla Sandolph had alleged multiple employees of Martin Marietta discriminated against her on the basis of sex. Her counsel, Peter Costea, showed a lewd figurine to a witness that hadn’t been submitted to evidence and failed to properly obscure it from the jury when admonished by the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, leading to a mistrial.
