Martin Marietta Gets Worker’s Lawyer Punished for Lewd Figurine

Martin Marietta Materials Inc. is owed more than $45,000 in legal fees incurred as a result of trial misconduct and a losing sanctions bid by the lawyer for a worker suing it for job discrimination.

The US District Court for the Western District of Texas awarded the building materials company $21,311 for successfuly defending Twyla Sandolph’s argument that it ought to be punished for mischaracterizing her administrative bias charge in its motion to dismiss.
