Marriott Faces Worker Wage Suit Over Timekeeping System Hack (1)

A former Marriott International Inc. employee claims that the hotelier failed to pay her and others all minimum and overtime wages owed when its timekeeping and payroll system was hacked, according to a lawsuit filed in a federal court in Tennessee.

The proposed collective action was brought by Bethany Mort, who worked as a front desk agent at Marriot’s Gaylord Opryland resort in Nashville, under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Mort seeks to represent other similarly situated workers employed at Marriott’s 150 properties in Tennessee.
