Marketing Officer Blocked From Employment With Former Client

A virtual marketing company convinced a federal district judge to order its former chief marketing officer to stop working for an insurance company, because doing so breached the terms of her employment agreement barring her from joining a former client.

Judge Harvey Bartle III of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday issued a preliminary injunction disallowing former Marketri LLC CMO Jennifer Marino from working for MSIG Insurance Services Inc. until January 2026.

Marketri established that it will be “irreparably harmed” if Marino—"a highly paid key employee"—can continue her employment with MSIG, he said.
