Manufacturers Lose Appeal Over Classification of Pipe Fittings

A group of manufacturing companies failed to revive their case challenging a Commerce Department finding that Vandewater International Inc.'s steel branch outlets are subject to antidumping duties.

The US Court of International Trade properly remanded the Commerce Department’s findings for another look, Judge Jimmie V. Reyna of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit wrote in a Thursday opinion. And since the companies didn’t challenge the court’s later decision sustaining Commerce’s final determination that the products fall under the antidumping duty order, their appeal fails.
