Man Deemed FARC Agent Loses Asset Battle for Lack of Hardship

A man found to be an agent of terrorist organization Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia—better known as FARC—lost his appeal seeking relief from an Anti-Terrorism Act judgment requiring him to turnover his assets because he failed to argue hardship.

Leonardo González Dellan needed to show that an “extreme and unexpected hardship” would occur absent relief from the civil judgment, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in a ruling Thursday.
