A man who worked with a network of other Brazilian nationals to defraud ride-share and food delivery companies failed to overturn his 70-month prison sentence on appeal.
The US District Court for the District of Massachusetts didn’t abuse its discretion in sentencing Thiago de Souza Prado after a jury found him guilty of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit the same, and aggravated identity theft, Judge Seth Robert Aframe of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said in a Wednesday opinion.
