Man Convicted of Scheme to Defraud NFL Player Wins New Sentence

An Alabama man convicted of conspiring to defraud Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Quinnen Williams will be re-sentenced after a federal appeals court said the district court miscalculated the loss amount used to determine his sentence and restitution.

Frederick Andre Spencer was sentenced to 55 months in prison and ordered to pay $664,000 in restitution following convictions for two counts of conspiring to commit wire fraud, one count of making false statements on a loan application, and one count of wire fraud.
