A group of Maine voters failed to convince the state’s high court that the wording of a ballot question relating to proposed amendments to Maine election laws is misleading.
Assuming a voter reads the entire question, “we disagree that the Secretary’s ordering of the accurate summaries of the proposed amendments makes the question not understandable,” Chief Justice Valerie Stanfill said in a July 11 opinion.
