Fraud Convict Denied Release Despite Health Issues (Correct)

A woman convicted of mail fraud will remain in prison despite showing extraordinary and compelling reasons in support of compassionate release, a federal district court said.

The seriousness of Jacqueline Graham’s crime, which “involved large sums of money and many victims,” and her failure to accept responsibility for it outweighed the slew of health issues that the Southern District of New York said were compelling reasons supporting release.
