Madison Square Garden Worker Drops Suit Over Oracle Data Breach

A former Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. employee dropped his proposed class action alleging the company negligently failed to protect the personal information of approximately 130,000 current and former workers that was exposed in a recent data breach.

Lead plaintiff Angel Liranzo filed a notice of voluntary dismissal March 6 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, two days after he filed the lawsuit. He alleged that the breach of employee names and Social Security numbers was the result of a targeted attack upon Oracle Corp.'s E-Business Suite software.
