Macy’s $10.5 Million Sheet False-Ad Settlement Draws Challenge

A $10.5 million agreement with Macy’s Inc. in a suit over allegedly mislabeled sheets “will leave the class with barely a sheet to its name,” according to a group that focuses on challenging class settlements.

Most of the settlement money will go to the cy pres recipient Public Interest Research Group, “a third party nonprofit with no relevance to this case that publicly engages in left-leaning political advocacy,” Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute’s brief said.
