Lyondell Chemical Supervisor Sues Alleging Age Bias, Retaliation

A former lab supervisor with Lyondell Chemical Co. is suing the chemical maker alleging discrimination and retaliation after she filed an internal complaint against her manager.

Paulette Davis—a former quality control lab supervisor and the only African American female first-line supervisor at the plant—claims Lyondell excluded her from important meetings and communications, subjected her to excessive disciplinary action, placed her on administrative leave, and ultimately terminated her employment after more than 26 years of service after she reported her manager’s alleged discriminatory behavior, according to her complaint filed Tuesday with the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. ...
