Luxottica Sues Key West Retailers for Counterfeit Ray-Ban Sales

Luxottica Group S.p.A. sued two Key West, Fla., retail boutique stores and their president for allegedly selling counterfeit Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Oliver Amar and his two stores, The Shore Store of Key West Inc. and Bikini Village K.W. Inc., were accused of trademark infringement in a federal lawsuit filed by Luxottica on Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

An investigator for the global eyewear company allegedly discovered that The Shore Store and Amar were advertising and selling more than 200 pairs of sunglasses bearing unauthorized logos imitating the Ray-Ban trademarks. The investigator claims to have ...
