Luigi Mangione Can Access Laptop to Review Murder Case Evidence

Luigi Mangione, who’s accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson, will be allowed to use a laptop in jail to review thousands of pages of evidence in the case.

Judge Gregory Carro in a New York state court issued the ruling after holding a non-public video conference Thursday.

Mangione, 26, is accused of killing Thompson in Midtown Manhattan in December before fleeing and touching off a manhunt that ended with his arrest at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Mangione has become a folk hero to many who believe he expressed their rage at the healthcare system.
