Love’s Travel to Pay $1.1 Million to Settle Equal Pay Class Suit

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. will pay $1.1 million to more than 100 female operations managers to settle their Equal Pay Act lawsuit alleging they were paid less than men performing similar duties, North Carolina federal court records show.

A federal magistrate judge recommended Thursday that the settlement be approved by the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. The pact is fair and reasonable compared to the risks of continuing litigation, Magistrate Judge Joe L. Webster said.
