A Sacramento, California, personal injury law firm is seeking to enjoin Jacoby & Meyers, a rival firm in Southern California, from using JUSTICE FOR YOU SINCE 1972, alleging the slogan infringes its rights to JUSTICE4YOU.

Clayeo C. Arnold APC says it has used JUSTICE4YOU since 2007, establishing “valid and subsisting federal statutory and common law rights” to the mark. Since 2007, Arnold has earned $110,388,000 while providing legal services under the mark or variants—including JUSTICE FOR YOU—according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California.
