L’Oréal Opposes One Proceeding for Hair Relaxer-Injury Suits

L’Oréal USA Inc. and affiliated companies urged a federal panel not to combine women’s suits alleging hair relaxers caused uterine cancer and other ailments, saying a combined proceeding would “breed inefficiency” because the lawsuits have little in common.

Other defendants named in the suits made similar arguments Wednesday in separate filings to the US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
