Long-Term Care Facility to Face Inadequate Staffing Class Claims

A deceased resident’s daughter may proceed with a proposed class action alleging that a long-term skilled nursing facility failed to fulfill its promise to adequately staff the institution.

Monica Parrish sufficiently alleged that Gordon Lane Healthcare LLC violated California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act by making false claims about staffing that ultimately led to violations of residents’ rights, the US District Court for the Central District of California said.
