A Long Island school board’s seemingly inconsistent reasons for firing a middle school teacher who sent a nude selfie to a colleague and it was widely circulated could convince a jury the real reason was sex bias, the Eastern District of New York ruled.

Lauren Miranda can take her claims under the U.S. Constitution’s equal protection clause, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act to trial because there are numerous fact issues surrounding the four explanations South Central School District gave in its termination letter for discharging her, the court said. ...
