Live Nation, Executives Must Defend Shareholder Class Action

Live Nation Entertainment Inc. lost a bid to dismiss a proposed shareholder class action alleging the entertainment and ticket company made false statements and omissions about its compliance with antitrust laws that caused its stock price to drop.

The plaintiffs say that Live Nation and two of its executives failed to tell investors that the company “engaged in anticompetitive conduct, including charging high fees and extended contracts with talent, and retaliated against venues.”
