Liquor Startup Prevails Over Casa Tradicion’s Trademark Claims

Luxury tequila brand Clase Azul lost its bid to enjoin competitor Casa Azul because a federal judge concluded after a trademark infringement bench trial that the two liquor brands are sufficiently distinct.

"[T]he court finds and concludes that both companies can continue to market their tequila products,” Judge Lee H.
