Lincoln University Reaches $170,000 Deal in Covid Closure Suit

Lincoln University agreed to pay nearly $170,000 to end a class action over keeping students’ tuition and fees after it closed its campus for the Spring 2020 semester in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The proposed class satisfies all requirements for certification, and the settlement agreement doesn’t reveal any deficiencies, Judge Karen S. Marston of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said in a Monday opinion granting preliminary approval of the deal.
