LifeScan Inc. was hit with a lawsuit in a Texas federal court alleging its mobile glucose meters used by diabetics to monitor their blood sugar infringe patents held by Cellspin Soft Inc.
Cellspin Soft alleged in a complaint, filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, that LifeScan’s continuous glucose monitoring system marketed as the OneTouch Verio Reflect meter and OneTouch Verio Flex meter infringe three patents covering technology that allows a person’s glucose meter to communicate with an app on their cell phone.
