LifeRx.md Hit With Privacy Suit Over Data of Weight-Loss Clients

LifeRx.md Inc. disclosed the personal information of people seeking weight-loss treatments to third parties for advertising purposes in violation of New York’s consumer-protection law, a proposed federal class action said.

Amber Hedgeman alleged that LifeRx.md, a seller of the weight-loss drug GLP-1, disclosed her name, email address, and phone number to X Corp., Pinterest Inc., Microsoft Corp., Google LLC, and Taboola Inc. without her knowledge or consent when she booked an appointment on its website.
