Liberty Mutual Agents Win Partial Class Status in Wages Lawsuit

Call center agents for Liberty Mutual Group Inc. won partial class certification in a lawsuit alleging the insurance company failed to pay hourly wages for necessary pre-and mid-shift off-the-clock tasks.

The US District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted certification on July 21 for all current and former hourly call center agents who worked for Liberty and were assigned to its New Castle, Pa., office at any time during the past three years.
