Four ProFrac Holding Corp. units filed suit accusing Liberty Energy Inc. of breaking a nondisclosure agreement by posting the company’s confidential information on LinkedIn and then creating infringing electric hydraulic fracturing technology for oil and gas exploration.
Liberty and its ST9 Gas and Oil LLC unit misappropriated trade secrets and infringed five ProFrac patents to create digiFrac, a system that sits on a trailer and uses electric motors to power fracking pump, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
