LG Chem Suable for Battery Burn in Texas, Says State’s Top Court

South Korean conglomerate LG Chem Ltd. and its unit LG Chem America Inc. must face a vape-battery burn suit in Texas, after the state’s top court affirmed that the plaintiff’s claims are closely enough linked to the companies’ battery sales and distribution in Texas.

LG Chem has contested jurisdiction in courts across Texas and the US in numerous e-cigarette battery injury suits, with mixed results.
