South Korea’s LG Chem Ltd. must face a lawsuit accusing it of making and distributing an e-cigarette battery that exploded in a Texas man’s pocket, the second case out of several filed in the state now allowed to proceed.
The company had challenged the case on jurisdictional grounds.
Thursday’s ruling by the Texas Court of Appeals, Eighth District, in El Paso, overturned a trial court ruling in LG Chem’s favor.
