Leon Black Seeks $1.6 Million in Fees After Wigdor Sanctions

Leon Black is seeking more than $1.6 million in attorneys’ fees from Wigdor LLP after the firm was sanctioned over a former lawyer’s conduct in a lawsuit brought by a woman who alleges the billionaire investor raped her.

The figure is reasonable given the complexity of the case and hundreds of pages of filings counsel had to review in preparing the sanctions motion, Black argued in a Thursday filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
