The Legal Aid Society allegedly allowed a “racist culture” at a field office in New York, discriminated against Black attorneys, and retaliated against those who complained about bias, according to a new lawsuit filed in federal court on Monday.
Roxanne Ronan says that throughout her employment, she and other Black attorneys were subjected to a hostile work environment, including racist comments, disparate treatment, and retaliation for complaining, her lawsuit filed on the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York says.
