Lee Enterprises Inc. will pay $9.5 million to settle a proposed class action alleging it shared the video-viewing information of subscribers with
Judge Stephen H. Locher of the US District Court for the District of Iowa gave final approval to the settlement in a Thursday order. The deal appears to be one of the largest yet reached in a wave of lawsuits against providers of video content began in 2022 over use of consumer-tracking technology on websites citing the federal law.
