Ledger, Shopify Get Data Breach Suit Trimmed Over Crypto Wallet

Ledger SAS got a partial win in its bid to throw out a class action brought over a data breach with Shopify Inc. that compromised the cryptocurrency portfolios of Ledger’s customers.

Paris-based Ledger sells physical hardware wallets—Nano X and Nano S—that allow customers to manage their cryptocurrency and store “private keys” to transfer assets through its e-commerce website operated on Shopify’s platform. TaskUs is used by Shopify to provide customer and data security support to Ledger.
