LBRY Reverses Course, Appeals Crypto Loss in Fight With SEC (1)

LBRY Inc., a blockchain-based content-sharing platform, reversed course Thursday after saying it would shut down following a trial court loss and instead filed a notice of appeal to the First Circuit.

The lower court in July barred LBRY from offering “unregistered crypto asset securities” and ordered it to pay a $111,614 civil penalty to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
