A Massachusetts lawyer was re-sentenced Wednesday to 18 months in prison on a single count of federal programs bribery after a federal appeals court overturned two of his other convictions for honest services fraud in January.
The prison sentence is six months less than what Sean O’Donovan received before his partially successful appeal at the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Upon completing his prison term, he’ll be on supervised release for two years.
