Lawyer’s Anti-SLAPP Victory Affirmed in ‘Love Triangle’ Lawsuit

A California lawyer won’t face a lawsuit stemming from what the Ninth Circuit called a ‘love triangle’ between her and her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend in affirming an anti-SLAPP dismissal.

The lawsuit, brought by Lezlie Gunn, accused attorney Christine Drage of interfering with a release and settlement agreement between Gunn and her ex-boyfriend, Swiss businessman Hans Peter Wild. Gunn said that Drage, in her capacity as his new girlfriend, persuaded him to nullify the agreement. The agreement had stipulated, among other things, that Wild would give Gunn a tax-free gift of $60 million dollars.
