Lawyer Fails to Stop Virgin Islands Disciplinary Counsel Probe

It would be improper to intervene in a US Virgin Islands disciplinary counsel proceeding involving a Florida attorney also admitted to practice in the US Virgin Islands, a federal judge said.

Peter J. Lynch’s complaint against two USVI Supreme Court disciplinary counsel was dismissed with prejudice because they are immune from damages for alleged civil rights violations in their official and individual capacities, Judge Mark A. Kearney, of the District Court of the Virgin Islands, said in a Monday opinion.
