A law firm and two attorneys had “irreconcilable conflicts of interest” in representing Vietnamese investors for an immigration visa program project that one of the lawyers controlled, according to the investors’ federal lawsuit against them.
The 14 plaintiffs invested in the Gulfport, Miss., redevelopment project under the federal EB-5 program, according to their complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia at Alexandria. The program provides a path to legal permanent residency in the US through job-creating investments of $500,000 or $1 million.
