An attorney may be barred from communicating with potential class members if he violates ethical rules in making those communications, the Sixth Circuit said.
The appeals court affirmed a protective order barring Visser and Associates PLLC, and Donald and Donovan Visser from communicating with potential class members who received an unsolicited communication from them after the preliminary approval of a proposed settlement and conditional certification of the proposed class.
In a separate order, the court upheld a formal reprimand against Visser.
