Latin Food Producers Continue Battle Over Trademark Infringement

Two Latin food producers continue to battle in an infringement lawsuit over packaged products as a New Jersey federal judge dismisses some of the claims.

Judge Kevin McNulty gave a mixed order Tuesday on the motions for both sides in the trademark and copyright suit.

Industria De Alimentos Zenu S.A.S, a Columbia-based company, brought the trademark and copyright action against Latinfood U.S. Corp. doing business as Zenu Products Co. and Medellin, Colombia-born Wilzon Zuluaga, accusing them of infringing its Zenú and Ranchera marks.
