Lakeview Loan Servicing Sued Over Data Breach Affecting Millions

Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC was hit with a proposed federal class action alleging its lax information-security practices led to a data breach that exposed the personal information of more than 2.5 million people.

Anthony and Teresa Oglesby alleged that Lakeview didn’t encrypt their data and failed to implement adequate cyber-security procedures and protocols.

Information exposed in the breach included names, addresses, loan numbers, and Social Security numbers, according to the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of South Carolina.
